The Backstory
Technology has always been part of how I think. During my undergraduate years in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, I taught myself SQL and Python. Even as a Controls Engineer, the work I gravitated towards was IT-adjacent: PLC programming, SCADA design, and anything involving logic and data.
The full transition into IT came after COVID. I had just completed my MSc in Engineering Control Systems and Instrumentation when the world shut down. I needed work that didn't require my physical presence, so I leaned into the skills I already had: SQL, Excel, data visualisation. That led to a role as a Bid Insight Analyst, then a Business Intelligence Developer position. The shift demanded rapid upskilling, but in hindsight, it sharpened me in ways I didn't expect.
Today, I'm pursuing an MSc in Information Systems Engineering and Management. Alongside my studies, I'm collaborating with some incredible individuals to build solutions across engineering supply, IT services, and other ventures. I love learning, I love building, and I love creating IT solutions. This is my field.
